Fishing and Hunting are the oldest and most practiced skills of mankind. Next is the preparation of our catch and sharing the bounty with our family and friends. While many may call these hobbies, they are part of our rights, culture and history that we need to preserve and pass these traditions to our children. We have a responsibility to share with our children the joys of the great outdoors, respect for Mother Nature and what she shares with us.

They had meat grinders, sausage stuffers, smokers, knives, sausage casings, dehydrators, spices and more. I would spend hours looking through the books that were available on how to make beef jerky, cook venison, make sausage, fillet fish and smoke food. I was always amazed at how many venison recipes there were to make venison sausage, steaks, roasts, chops, jerky and more.
